http://soundcloud.com/user4521661 Have you heard him yet? This boy should have been signed a long time ago. Why is it he is still in the dark? Yes, I am sure there is a few rough spots, but I know with some help he could go far. He has what it takes. The looks, the moves, and the voice. So why hasn't someone noticed? Any way, if you get the chance. Listen to a few of his clips. I am sure that will make him happy. -_^

I can hear it... I can feel it...

My muse, thank the goddess and god. I can hear her. The tiny or loud voice in my brain singing the stories of my characters. What gives my books life and my finger purpose on a keyboard. I can feel it... I can hear it. The whole of my being is vibrating with it. Or... it could be that bade Chinese I ate. Either way... writing is going to be a must this weekend and next week.

Also, let me mention vacation. I will be taking one. I need one. My brain has been over fried for a while and I need to, pardon this, but vegetate somewhere and relax. This past 6 (-/+) months have been killing my muse. So, I think a trip to the mountains or some where quiet is needed. I am going to try to do that this year. I need a recharge. My battery has been bleeping low for a long time. I just have been putting it off and ignoring for a long while.

Any way... just thought I would be random today. XD

Yay 80th Post!

Any way, today marks my 80th post here on Blogger. Awesome, eh? Any way, here of late I haven't been writing much. Maybe a sentence or two. If that. Each time I sit down to write at home, I get bothered. Either by my fiancee, my phone going off, or my grandmother needing help. Which sometimes kills the mood to write.

Sadly I can't put up a sign on my door. "Go Away, writing!". It would just be ignored. So, I have been dealing with near constant botheration. Which really sucks. I don't get to write much over at my friend's house either. Due to the constant stomping, yelling, singing, cussing, etc. that goes on. Very disturbing.

So, yeah... right now my Muse is very upset. -_-; I think she is keeping a migraine the size of the Grand Canyon. Which really inhibits my... writing.

However, maybe... just maybe today will be my lucky day and I will get to get some stuff done today. *nods*

A Few Side Notes - Death by Nymph... Stuff

A Few Side Notes (aka short description of book)

1.] Breeder - A full blooded Lycan that can only reproduce by traditional breeding methods (aka sex).
2.] Meta - A full blooded Lycan or "turned" Lycan that can only reproduce by biting. Metas are pretty much genetic malfunctions in the werewolf community. They are evil, kill at will, and strike fear in many of the Night Dwellers.
3.] Fanger - A derogatory term for a vampire. Many Hunters and other street urchins use this term a lot.

These are some terms that are in the book. Mostly slang used by Hunters and other factions. Also, there is several different types of Night Dwellers. I just haven't gathered all yet. But, here is a break down of what is in the first book:

Fire Witch - controls fire elements
Water Witch - controls water elements
Ice Witch - controls only ice elements
Dark Shadow Demon - a very nasty type of demon. red skin, bright yellow reptilian eyes, black horns, black nails, and teeth that are razor sharp.
Water Nymph - have some control over water elements, their sexual nature can be almost calming, and full bloods are extremely rare.
Vampire - need I say more?
Lycan - werewolf. two different types: Breeder and Meta.

I will say that MOST Meta werewolves are crazy. So crazy they kill/slaughter innocent people and Night Dwellers. Very few Meta Lycans ever make it through the change and are "normal". Most give into the crazed hungers and other insanities. Night Dwellers really don't do anything about them. Only the "Hunters", who kill for the underground black market, control the population of Metas. After all, they are the only ones crazy enough to do so.

So, while I don't condone killing wolves or even werewolves... I had to give my main heroine an edge. After all, she is a Nymph (well 1/2) and I wanted to give her a bit more oomph. Unlike most others. XD Most authors go the same ole route and make Nymphs... sex fiends. =P LOL Which there is nothing wrong with that, but I just wanted my Nymph to be different.

Any who, that is a bit of notage for you guys. =]

Alabama and Tornadoes

Okay, for those who don't know, I live in Alabama. Wednesday was one of the worst storm outbreaks Alabama has had in a very long time. For those of you with power over the last few days... maybe you have seen the destruction? However, nothing can really describe the total annihilation of some towns. Such as Hackleburg and Tuscaloosa. Just to name a couple. People were scared and worried about family in other towns. Due to some of the cell towers being hit and regular phone lines being down.

Fortunately I was not hit by any Tornadoes, but I was without power a few days. I only saw glimpses of the destruction before loosing power. Then a few more when I got power back. As phones returned, people were regaling me horror stories of the help they offered in the places hit the hardest.

One woman I knew pulled a 12 year old boy out, dead, from a ditch. She said she was there over 2 hours and when that happened. She couldn't do it any more. The site of a young boy, now lost, was more than she could stomach. I feel if I was in her place I would have broke down and cried my eyes out. Before puking my guts out. For the simple fact such a young life was cut so short.

So yes, it is a very sad day in Alabama. Weeks, MONTHS of reconstruction will begin and towns will be rebuilt, but nothing will ever replace the hole that the weather left. Over 200 people are dead and 100s more missing.

I am just thankful to be alive and able to see my family. Also, my prayers and heart goes out to those hit the hardest by these storms.

The Dark Hour Chronicle Updates

Last night my friend, my fiancee and I brainstormed ideas for this book series. So far, we have the over all plot, how many "book phases" are in said plot, and a way to draw readers into our world. Now comes the hard part. Writing the books. XD LOL

I don't have any excerpts from the first book, but maybe in a few days I will post a paragraph or two. =P

Death by Nymph - Small Preview

Chapter 1

Holy shit! This werewolf was hounding her heels like no tomorrow! She should have known this wasn’t going to be an easy kill by the sheer amount of money that sleazy Dark Shadow demon offered for its pelt and teeth! Now she wished she could have brought her other glock and daggers. She could sure use them right now.

The worm finally caught up to her and made a lunge for her. She ducked and rolled out the way. Hopping quickly back on to her feet she got into a defensive fighting stance. Being half Nymph had some advantages. She didn’t want to use those particular abilities though. However, desperate times called for desperate measures and by damn, she was desperate! She had bills to pay and a Harley Chopper that could use a tune up. The money offered for this Lycan was more than enough for what she needed now. If only the damn thing would die!

Squaring her shoulders, Alisa caught the crazed Lycan’s eyes and turned on that famous Nymph charm. She watched, as the werewolf’s eyes grew glazed over and began panting with its tongue hanging out.

That is roughly the first 3 paragraphs of the story. Any way, I am going to work on extending it and smoothing out anything I think needs it. =] Just figured I would give you idea of what this book might be about. =P

Death By Nymph update!

Today I finally heard back from the publishing place I sent it too. I got rejected, BUT I am optimistic. I was planning on extending it anyway. There is SO much more I could add and put into it. So yeah. Trial and Error.

Teens and Romance Novels

**Warning the content below may piss you off. Sorry, but I feel like being blunt. I am in no mood to Sugar Coat.**

--

Okay, when I was 13, before the big OMG TEENS ARE READING PARANORMAL ROMANCE!!! WTFBBQ!!?, might I point out that Teens have been reading such books for a long time? Because I was 13 in 1998. Anyone worth their salt would know that Paranormal Romance wasn't exactly around back then. I mean, it was, but it wasn't. Most of Romance Novels were Contemporary or Historical. My first Romance Novel was called "Silken Tiger" and was a Historical Romance. It was the first time I read the word phallus, manhood, manroot, etc. All those lovely catch phrases to describe the genital areas of both sexes.

Think about it. 1998 I was reading Romance Novels. So, what makes people think their "sparkling" teenagers are NOT going to pick up a book and NOT read it? Specially given the fact many Teens are into Vampires and other things that go bump in the night. How do you not expect your Teens to go into a bookstore and NOT browse what they are interested in?

Tommy and Lisa ARE going to pick up something that is eye catching and takes their breath away. Sorry, but if I loved to read and I was a Teen... I would gravitate towards those dark, sensual books that were so calling my name.

It is natural. Honestly. To expect anything less or different would be like expecting a tree to turn into a rose bush at your command. It ain't going to happen. The sooner people realize that their Teens ARE going to read stuff like, the sooner they can EDUCATE them on the subject matter.

Instead of blowing things out of proportion and screaming at the injustice of it all. Cause I will be the first one to tell you, Authors need to make some money and if they know Teens are going to read it... guess what? Authors are going to write it.

Also, don't just point your fingers at Authors. The MEDIA in this day and age has been doing this LONG before Authors wrote books that had Romantic Scenes or Sex Scenes in them. Anyone remember Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, etc.? No? Then go educate yourself on popular media. Go look at past TV shows on Youtube, Wikipedia, etc. Go look at the graphic details of movies, etc. Teens have long been exposed to this sort of thing before Authors decided to put it on paper.

So, throwing a hissy fit over what your Teen reads is Bias in my opinion. If you want a What-Not of a Teen on a shelf, then by all means... take away everything. Books, TV, video games, phones, computers, etc. Home school them while your at it. Make sure they know how to quilt, cross stitch, embroidery, know how to cook, know how clean, know how to ride a horse, address their betters with formality, etc. All that old world BS that went out of style way before the 20s came to be.

Go ahead.. raise a Victorian (or earlier) Teen. I am sure they will love forever for it. That you kept them from society and taught them things that no longer exist. So, when they go off to college and get a culture shock... you will have grandchildren and a mother/father that just don't know how to handle the real world. Cause obviously you lead them to believe in a fantasy of your making. Instead of teaching them about reality.

Good job and good luck.

How goes it.. fair maiden?

I feel like I am trapped in some cheesy Shakespeare play where the characters half ass know their lines and try to sound like they do with cliche lines of the modern era. Seriously. Today I woke up and every little thing annoys me. All I hear is random old world sayings, etc. running through my brain and now I just want to scream. I have no idea why my brain is repeating such... drivel, but it is. *sighs*

Any way, if you haven't read these authors yet, please consider reading them:

Christina Dodd
Larissa Ione
Gena Showalter

All three are fabulous authors. Each one does my favorite Romance genre, Paranormal. However, Dodd is known to write more than just Paranormal. Just in case you are into something other than the Paranormal.

Besides the author recos, I do plan on TRYING to write one of the many books I am working on. My Muse seems to be a silly and fickle thing. Only wants me to write when I am in that "mood". Half way between relaxed and asleep. It is almost liked meditating with your mind at is sharpest point. Truly a very odd feeling, but I have to be in that groove to write and it doesn't come easy (or often enough).

Training my brain to go into that mood is asking a brick wall to become a wall of wood. Not exactly going to happen. Stubborn brain. Any way, just thought I would update you all!

Hello World and Goodbye Fantasy...

Okay, I have been ignoring my writing for a while now. With a new job and watching my niece, it felt like I was in a whirlwind of chaos. Not to mention I was the Co-Admin of a game site. Sadly, I am no longer Co-Admin. I got demoted several levels today without rhyme or reason. My "boss" never came to talk to me or even discuss why I was getting demoted. Needless to say I am both hurt and angry at this moment.

So, goodbye Fantasy land and hello World.

I so missed you and your harshness. All your lies and corrupt dealings. I forgot how much I hated you, but now... I must live with you. Joy.

However, there is some semblance of hope. I always have my books in progress and the characters I adore/love. I guess now I can focus more on them instead of the Fantasy land I was trapped in.

Gods, how I have missed you...

April Fools Passed Safely

This year no joke was played on me and I am more than thrilled. Honestly, I am getting to old for pranks. Even though the kid in me sat in its' lonely corner and pouted because I didn't prank anyone on April 1st. Any way, I hope everyone had fun yesterday and enjoyed the pranks pulled on you. =]

I don't have much in the way of updates or any new books to blab about right now. Maybe in a few days. <3

Elaboration on Current Works

Novellas:

Death by Wolf
Death by Vampire

I haven't officially began these, but I think the next one is going to be Death by Wolf. Which will follow Drake, Alisa's best friend, and his romantic tale. It will follow right after the end of "Death by Nymph", but not after the Epilogue. Mysteries abound!

Of course the last book will be during the Epilogue of the first book. It kind of shows the war going on in Alec's head and how he meets his soul mate.

That is roughly what is going to happen in those to little Novellas.

Novels:

A Kiss That Bites - I haven't started the re-write on this story as of yet. However, if time allows (and Muse willing) I will be getting to it at some point.

The Dark Hour Chronicles Series - I am sort of collaborating with my best friend and fiancee on this series. I can't say much about the series as of yet, but I think it is going to be a good one. So long as I quit putting the characters in very hilarious situations or letting something extremely funny happen to them, etc.

Young Adult:

The Order of the Roses - This series hasn't even been really thought through good yet. However, I do plan on working on this at some point. I have a very neat idea for a YA and I think the young readers out there will squee with joy. *nods*

ZOMG! No posts for a few days!

Okay, I know I am behind on posting. Trust me. I know. However, I am going to make one big UBER post very soon. Like Monday soon. I will do some book suggestions and maybe a small review. If I have time, I will update y'all on the progress of AKTB (A Kiss That Bites).

Happy words everyone!

Elisabeth Maughton - Eternal Guardians

Okay, I just started reading the first book "Marked" and so far I am liking it. Sometimes I get lost in the battle scenes, but hey... don't we all? The one steamy scene I read so far was hot and the way it left me hanging... let us just say I cussed. Any way! My fiancee found these books on sale at Walmart. $1.99 a piece! For paperback and I was like O.O <- That be my shocked face. So, cheap books in hand, I began to read. I am loving the books. Sadly they don't keep wanting to read them until I finish them. BUT I do want to finish the first book. I mean they are good books and I love the first one so far. Just... was hoping for more I guess. *sighs* Any way... check that book series out!

Happy words everyone!

Update on A Kiss That Bites

Good lawd, I haven't posted about that book in ages. Well, I did decide that the beginning is crap and I so need to weed out of secondary thoughts. Bring focus back on the two main characters. Which means, my 30k+ word count may get cut to 10k or less. Maybe. Depends how much I feel like cutting. There is so MANY essential characters in this first book, that I don't know how I am going to cut it down. Looks like I may have to create books that kind of reflect the current plot line. Like a different POV but not. >.> Ah, I make no sense.

So, that is basically what is happening to that book. Getting a cutting and a re-writing. Which will be the 3rd time for this book. *sighs* I just want to be perfect. D: My poor OCD is driving me crazy. ;_; I have no idea if I will -ever- get this book written and sent off. I just keep tweaking it. *cries*

Okay, enough blubbering. Seriously though, this book will be epic. If I can ever get what I want out and perfect it. Any way, just a tiny update. -_^

I do not follow Spambots on Twitter

As a rule of thumb I do not follow Spambots on Twitter. Why do I need the aggravation? I have plenty of real life people to aggravate me without the help of bots. Of course some Bots are unavoidable and I try my best to block those I find, but I don't always catch them in time. Dial-up sucks. Just so you know. So, if you are on Twitter and like to follow me... please, PLEASE send me a message to let me know you are not a Spambot. Otherwise I may or may not follow back.

Writer's Block Got You Down?

Hey, I got a couple of tips for all those writers out there!

Meditation
Music

One or the other or both is good for Writer's Block. Both help me to relax and then get in the mood to write. Try it!

Death By Nymph - Update - Spill

Still awaiting on that rejection letter.
What? Rejection?
Yeah. Didn't you hear? It is always best to expect "rejection" than to count your chickens before they hatch.
What the...? What does chickens have to do with this?
Uh, it is an expression. It means don't think you are going to be published right away. Instead imagine being rejected!
That is a load of crock!
No, it is not. For if you expect rejection, if and when you do get rejected, it won't hurt as bad. That and you can move on, write some more, and eventually get that book published or a book published.
You still make no sense woman!
Dearest Alexander, you are a character of my mind and people are going to think me crazy if you keep popping up like that. Now then... DON'T YOU GLARE AT ME WOLF BOY!
Aha! Got your attention creator. Now when are you going to finish MY story?
I swear Alexander, I can't get nothing done with you around. *grumbles* Fine, your story is going to be after I post this. If I get to post this at all. Specially with all your interruptions.
Fine, I shall leave you alone. After you vow to finish my story!
*more grumbling* Fine, I will. I vow it okay! Now leave!

Sorry you guys had to witness that. Seems like Alexander is getting pushy. He wants his story written. ;___; I am a slave I tell you. A slave! All he wants is me to write and write and write.... *boohoo*

Any way, my post is about Death By Nymph. I am not even sure it will be published by traditional means. If not by traditional means (i.e. publisher), then I will go Indie. That also means I need to get a cover and stuff for the book. *sighs* It is good thing I come complete with multi tricks. I can do cover art (when I have the muse) and do web layouts! No, I am not going offer my services. After all, I don't have a business license. I would need one to do stuff like that.

Well, any way, I do have a cover in the works. Just in case a rejection letter hops into my e-mail account and says Hello! That way I can hop onto places like GoodReads, Smashwords, etc. and see if I can't do this the hard way. Yes, Indie publishing is HARD. Get the memo.

Any way... I think that is it dear readers.

Happy words everyone!

Help With N.Y. Slang? - Slang Website

Slang Website <- Click the link to view website.

I found this website because I mainly do the research portion of this book series I am writing with Winter Yuy. Though, I must admit she needs to do research as well. Only one person doing the research is bad Joo-Joo. Seeing as it might not give me time to write. Any way, reason for the posting of said website is because one of our characters is from New York. I have never been there and I don't always have time to find YouTube videos to watch. Considering dial-up is the bane of my existence and doesn't allow you to do much.

So, for those of you who are from New York or know people from there... I need some good slang terms. You see, this character we are writing is/was.. a thug? I think that is the word best to describe him. He is hard and harsh. Grew up fast, etc. Everything you would expect from someone who has "street smarts". However, I know nothing of New York and the slang spoken there.

Help?

If some words are not that polite or shouldn't be posted on Blogger, you do have the option of sending me an e-mail. Just request my address when you comment below.

This Cook is Retiring...

Today has been sort of a bad day. There have been a few spurts of good things happen, but not much to actually cover the crap that has gone on today. *sighs* You are probably wondering what has me upset or what has caused this day to be "bad". Well, a lot of stuff contributed today, but what broke the camel's back is this:

Austin is my fiancee and I love him. I really do. Yet, he has been on male PMS for well over a month now. I have been trying to ignore it and I am trying to just forget his being an asshole. However, this afternoon and tonight just rubbed me raw. It is getting late and my grandmother and I are hungry. So, I contemplate making this bake chicken stuff I made.

I call it the chicken roast. Cause it is similar to a pork roast you do in the oven. With potatoes, onions, celery, and carrots. Very tasty dish. But, we have no chicken, celery and/or carrots. So, I asked Austin to go get the items needed. I was watching my niece at the time and my grandmother's back is bad. Which means I must stay at the house to make sure my niece is well taken care of.

Any way, Austin keeps on balking about going out to get the items and I finally suggest like hamburger steaks. He likes make open face hamburger steaks. Finally, he goes out to get hamburger meat and comes home.

Later he tells me he wanted burgers. *face palm* I am at my wits end. No matter what I do here lately it is not enough. So, now I am off to bed and this cook is officially retired.

Voice Actors + Kami Con = Awesome!

I actually had the pleasure and honor of speaking with this voice actor on Saturday. I didn't talk much, because I was tired and my old self kicked in. Shy and ADD as hell. However, my fiancee, my friend Exhiled Angel, and Winter Yuy talked up a storm with this great man! Seriously, if you EVER get the chance to meet him outside the autograph table and he is not in a hurry, do so! He is awesome guys. Really he is.

Kyle Hebert is very laid back and has a great sense of humor. Probably one of the coolest guys you will ever meet.

Any who, my fiends and I went to Kami-Con in T-town Alabama and had a blast. Unfortunately due to stomach problems (dieing rear and other things) I was not able to attend Sunday. However, I am sure my friends enjoyed themselves and probably cussing because we didn't go. Let me say this, I wanted to, but unless someone wanted a new paint job, it was best I stayed home.

There was quite a bit to do there. From autographs to panels where the voice actors talked to a huge crowd about certain subjects. Also, Johnny Yong Bosch was there. So was his band Eyeshine! It was a great weekend event and for anyone who has never went to a Convention like this... you are missing a LOT!

Any way, here is some links to the voice actors I have mentioned in my post:

Paranormal Books I think Are Awesome

Sin Undone is one of the few books I will have to say that I love. My fiancee and I read a lot of the same books and I am glad we do. Gives us plenty to talk about and do together! Any way, any of Larissa Ione's books are good. So, I couldn't really pick an absolute favorite, but Sin Undone is a top fave of mine!

Now then, a couple of books I would like to mention:

Dreams of a Dark Warrior
Demon from the Dark

Both are great books and I would suggest getting these together as a pair. Or else you may not know what is going on in Dreams of a Dark Warrior.

So, I hope these books will entertain you, leave you breathless, and wanting more.

Death By Nymph Updates

For those of you who are wondering about that short story, I have a few people Beta Reading it. Sadly, it is far from finished. I think here in the next month or two, I will send it off. I am hoping for sooner, but given real time constraints, it will be later rather than sooner.

However, the edits are coming along smoothly. This is probably my favorite short story I have written to date. Some of my later stuff is just to... horrid to even contemplate.

Any way... that is news on DBN!

Book Stuff

This author is very good and I love just about anything she puts out. I have not read this book, yet, but the cover caught my eye. Once I saw it was Ione, I had to let you guys know about this one. So, pick up and let me know how it is!

I am all the time on the look out for interesting books and this one did catch my attention. It is another one I haven't read yet, but it sounds so tantalizing and sexy!

Want something dirty, hot, and just downright raunchy? Well, this book covers it all and I think people will be both shocked and pleased with this book.

Guest Post: Laura Kreitzer on Phantom Universe & Human Trafficking

I read over this post and I must say... I do have a voice. I believe strongly everyone has one, but not many choose to use it. I, however, choose to use it! For, if I help just one soul, then I feel like I have done more than just sitting around waiting for the world to "wake up". So, please read the post about this author's book and what she has to say about Human Trafficking.

Thank you.

Hello Literary-Folk!

My name is Laura Kreitzer, and I’m the author of the Timeless Series and the Summer Chronicles. This week I would like to alert everyone on a colossal crisis that’s gone unnoticed in the world: human trafficking. That’s why I’ve asked hundreds of blogs to be involved with spreading the word on this issue that’s become close to my heart.

As an author, and someone whose life is put in the spotlight, I keep most people at a distance. Only a handful of my friends know the whole me and the events from my past. But this week I’d like to share with you a part of myself that the outside world doesn’t see (and a part of me I don’t like to share). I was emotionally abused for five years by someone I thought loved me, my mind beaten into submission. Though the turmoil I went through doesn’t penetrate as deep as someone forced into slavery on the worldwide market for human trafficking, I can sadly relate in some ways: imprisoned, my life dictated down to what I wore, ate, where I went, whom I spoke to, where I worked, when I slept, bending to his every whim. He did not sway, even when I cried through some of the more traumatic things he had me do. I was a slave in my own home. In my desperation for freedom, I held out a gun and asked him to just end my suffering. I was desperate.

I can’t even imagine how many women (and men) in the world are in a similar situation. What’s even worse, I had it mild compared to the children that are sold for labor or sex. Surprisingly, the good ol’ U.S.A. is reported to be the host to two million slaves. Did you know this? Because I certainly did not; not until I was preparing to write my newest novel: Phantom Universe. The main character, Summer Waverly, was stolen as a child and sold as a slave to the captain of a modern-day pirate ship. From a loved child who only knew “time-out” as punishment, to being whipped into silence was something I knew nothing about. So I researched deeply into human trafficking and the psychological effects of torture of various types that one would endure in these circumstances. I felt shaken at my findings and knew I had to tell Summer’s story. (Read a sneak peek here.)

A storm began to brew in my mind; transforming, morphing, twisting, and expanding into this massive, black cloud. I had to bring this tragic atrocity to the forefront. My own emotional experiences, mixed with the research I did on human trafficking, made me feel an intense connection with Summer, and to all women who’ve been through this kind of brutality. The cloud ruptured and rained all over my computer one day. It took one month to write Phantom Universe, the first in the Summer Chronicles. I was so consumed by the story that I wrote nearly nonstop, only breaking for necessary tasks like eating, showering, and occasionally—very occasionally—sleeping.

Though the book I’ve written would be classified as Science Fiction, or as I’d like to call it, Dystopian, the emotions and psychological aspects are not Science Fiction—they're real. Reviewers have said many amazing things about Summer, this character who is so real in my mind and who I cried along with as the words poured from my soul onto my screen.
“I admired Summer's strength and ability to adapt,” says CiCi’s Theories. “I felt tied to her emotions,” Jennifer Murgia, author or Angel Star admits. And Tahlia Newland, author of Lethal Inheritance, remarks, “Summer is strong and smart in mind [. . .]”
Through her overwhelmingly horrendous past, Summer goes on more than just a physical journey in Phantom Universe, she goes on a psychological one as well; growing beyond her mute state to persevere and survive in a new world beyond the whip she’s so frightened of.

Now that the release date is here, I’m excited and terrified to share this story with everyone. I’m emotionally tied in every way to the words I’ve written, because they’re more than words. More than just a story on a page. Beyond the fictional aspects, there’s a real issue that needs to be addressed: human trafficking must be stopped. We shouldn’t sit idly by while this continues to plague us. Our world’s children—our nation’s children—are being affected. It’s time we take action!

Earlier this month Phantom Universe hit Barnes and Noble’s top 100 Best Selling list. I’ve decided to donate 10% of my sales from Phantom Universe, until the end of February, to the DNA Foundation.
“DNA hopes to help abolish modern day slavery, deter perpetrators, and free the many innocent and exploited victims. We are committed to forcing sex slavery out of the shadows and into the spotlight.

Freedom is a basic human right and slavery is one of the greatest threats to that freedom. No one has the right to enslave another person.”

—From DNA Foundation’s Website
I ask that you spread the word to everyone you know. Look around on the DNA Foundation website and find a way to get involved in ending human trafficking. Take action today. Everyone has a voice—you have a voice. Will you have the courage to use it?

I Finally Finished my Novella!

Holy crackers batman! I just finished my novella and I am excited. However, I am so nervous about sending it off to eHarlequin. My stomach is churning so much I may throw up. I guess it is just me being jittery. Maybe you all can give this writer some advice?

Should I: A] Go Indie or B] Go submit it to eHarlequin?

Please leave your comments below!

Tips on Erotic Words

I came across this not to long ago and I wanted to share it with all of you. Specially those who have a heard time coming up with those "steamy" words all Romance writers seem to know and love.

Erotic Thesaurus

Now then, there is some words not listed for some words and vice versa. However, it is a good tool to use when needing that word to describe something "hot" or "carnal". Specially if you don't want to use a normal thesaurus. Of course there is other links at the top that could be of help.

Any way, happy words everyone!

P.S. - My Novella is coming along well. Not much longer until Done Day! Soon, I must decide whether to go through a publisher or do it Indie style.

Some Books To Ponder

Just a few books that caught my eye today.

The Start of a New Steamy Scene?

Grigore looked at her with a heated look. It would seem Alec put her in one of his button down shirts at some point and she had not noticed yet how much skin she was showing. The shirt wasn’t buttoned all the way up and gaped open. Revealing a lot of soft, pale skin. His cock was pushing against his shorts achingly and he knew she had to see the damn the thing. There was no way she could miss it. Specially since he wasn’t wearing boxers under the shorts.

Alisa was about to march over to the man when the next she knew he was standing right in front of her. She tried not to jump from shock and quickly looked up into his whiskey colored eyes. There was so much heat and desire in their depths that she momentarily forgot how to breathe.

Chapter 9

Grigore reached out and ran his fingertips lightly down the column of her neck. He felt the erratic beat of her heart under the pads of his fingers as he moved on down to the collar of the shirt. There he softly ran his fingertips across her exposed flesh before looking into her expressive blue eyes.

Alisa felt her pulse quicken at his soft caresses and forgot what she was so angry about. The look in his eyes said it all. He wanted her and he wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Another scene from Death By Nymph. A Paranormal Romance Novella that is almost done! I am so excited! Simply because this will be a first short story I have finished.

Fellow Writer: Winter Yuy

**WINTER YUY**

She is one of my best friends and fellow writer. She is working on her own book series and I can hardly wait until she has it done! I think you all will be pleased with how she writes her stories and the tales she spins. Even though her current series isn't labeled "romance", it does have some romantic elements. This series will probably be something that just about anyone would read. Regardless of what your favorite genre is.

Also, I think we may collaborate and actually write a Romance novel together. This is up in the air right now. Considering all the projects I got going on at the moment. Shoot... I need to be working on my Novella and AKTB! Any way...

Loves, hugs, and happy words everyone!

Well, these caught my eye

It doesn't tell you at first glance, but guys this is a Man on Man love kind of book! I have not read books like this (yet) and I can't really tell you if it is good or not, but hey... if you want to feel extra naughty... why not?

This one really sounds interesting. Who does love a saucy witch and hot dreamy guy?

Sounds very interesting. Not sure I would pay that price, but hey, for those of you who would.. might be worth it.

Wow, I was up late last night...

It has been a very long time since I stayed up that late! However, I do have random batches of not being able to go to sleep. Which is killer on my brain. Specially when my fiancee wakes me up and the expects me to get up for the rest of the day. I assure you, there is a special place for him. Called the couch!

Yes, I am a tad grumpy. Who wouldn't be? Any way, I need to write some today. I feel the tingles of my Muse and she is about to sing a whole orchestra. So, I need to focus and catch what she is doing today.

After all, I got 6 Novellas to finish, and 2 major novels. At some point I need to get my ass in gear and write!

Happy words everyone!

This, dear readers, is why...

This is why I do not do much art. Not because I am horrible at it, but because it causes my left shoulder to burn in a painful way. Why I decided to write I don't know. It also causes the burning sensation, but at least can stop, look at what I wrote, and then go back. Where if I am doing art... I must start and stop in one go. Else, I will never get it done. So, now I am dealing with an aching/burning shoulder blade.

Probably due to some weird nerve/muscle damage, but whatever. Doesn't stop me from doing what I want to do. ^-^ Any way, I just felt like showing this off. Don't know why... just did. OH, TCD is not my initials. Just an abbreviated form of a nickname I go by on the internet. XD

Some Revision in Process

Today I got up and looked at my Novella manuscript. At 6767 (out of 10k-15k words), I knew I had to cut some stuff out. Since their romance isn't going as fast as it needs to. *sighs* That is the only thing about short stories. You will have to cut, cut some more, and cut a little bit more. Just to make sure it flows and meets the word requirements.

Now I have to go through the entire story and cut out what is not needed. Blah. Can you say boring? However, it needs to be done! Or else I may miss my window of opportunity. Well, back to writing!

Happy words everyone!

Another Small Preview!

I have been puttering away at this Novella and decided to share another preview. I am almost done with it! Just a few more thousand words and I can polish this sucker up! Here is hoping for a new published author in the coming months. -_^

Grigore tore at the demon and then rid the world of its' existence. He still felt the need to destroy something, but for now he was satisfied. Dropping to his knees, he gently put a hand under her head to lift her lightly up and into his arms. He cradled her there and felt his heart ache in a funny way.

“Hold on little one. My coeur,” He said before softly kissing her silky brow.

Grigore held her in one arm before digging around his pocket for his cell phone. Intending to call his brother and ask him for assistance. However, he belated realized he left the damn thing at their new home on the east side of Cambridge City. Which was in the high-class, suburban side of the city.

He looked over at her bike and saw the condition it was in. No way would that make it to his home. Much less back to the bar where he met her. That left him with very slim options.

“I guess coeur we will have to walk. However, I shall be gentle. No worries little one,” He said soothingly to her.

He knew that she did not hear him and maybe that was a good thing. The woman obviously looked like she took care of herself and probably would not appreciate such soft words. However, he could not help himself. The more he was around her, the more he wanted her to look at him with deep, tender emotions.

Which was utterly insane. Considering they just met a few hours ago. Yet, he couldn’t stop what his instincts were telling him. Which was simply that this woman was important to him and to his future. Sighing softly, he got to his feet with Lisa in his arms and gave one last glance at her bike.

Paranormal Books To Consider

Looks like this book got around 39 five stars and the author is one the best selling Kindle authors. So, that has to say something! Either way, the book sounds interesting to me. Plus, it is a good thing I have a soft spot for Vampires!

This one isn't as famous as the other book. Obviously. However, the star rating is pretty good. There isn't a rating below 3. So, it most be a pretty decent book.

Another book with a high rating. Has 25 five stars right now. The cover is steamy and it sounds like a good one.

Friend and fellow upcoming Author

Okay, I know I haven't blogged much today or the past day or so. Life sometimes prevents me from doing what I need to do. However, at the same time I do not mind. After all, someone has to watch my adorable, lovable niece! Some day I will show you guys some pictures of my niece Reia (pronounced Ray-uh).

Any way, a friend I know outside of the virtual world has gotten interested in social networking. She is a fellow writer and is working on a book series. I will let her blog about it once I get her set up. Man, I should be some kind of Agent or something. Maybe even one of those.. uh.. schedule people. >.> Personal assistant! That is the word I am looking for!

Seriously. I do a lot of the paper work for my fiancee and other people close to me. I even do some minor accounting work. When I say minor, I do mean minor. But, hey. That is my degree. Honestly. Doing clerical work.

I keep getting distracted! Any way, my friend and fellow writer will be soon joining the ranks of Twitter and Blogger. Maybe even goodreads, smashwords, and some other places I haunt. So, look out for and give her a warm welcome!

Oh, just so you know, her net names are usually Winter Yuy or Solitude Whispers. -_^

Now Tell Me If this Ain't Steamy!

“If you got something to say fanger. Say it. Or else leave me alone,” She said heatedly to the man behind her.

Grigore lowered his eyelids to hide the rage in his eyes at the word fanger. The woman had balls. He had to give her that.

Then he softly spoke, “What I have to say to you Mord is not for public ears. Nor is what I am envisioning doing to you for public eyes.”

Grigore heard the woman gasp and then watched as she turned violently around to face him. He gave her one of his signature roguish grins when he had her full attention again. Then watched as her mouth opened and closed several times in shock.

This is a small preview from my Novella that will be done in a few days! Then it will be revision time and polish time! I hope you guys enjoy that little bit of naughtiness. This vampire character has me... well... horny for more. *giggles*

Changing Gears - Death By Nymph - Novella

Okay, I am changing gears for a couple of days! I got a possible Novella that needs attention. Death By Nymph. I am going to be writing a 10k-15k book and see where it goes. Got a tip that eHarlequin has some publishers looking for books. Not every area in their department, but a few of them. One of them is right up my alley! So, here goes nothing y'all! This little Southern is fixing to try her hand at it and see what happens.

I expect a rejection or a lot of red ink splatter on my manuscript! But, you never know until you try! So wish me luck!

Adult Fan Fiction and Original Fiction

This website I am fixing to blurb about may have some helpful tips for you on their forum. I actually go there from time to time to browse what they have. For example:

Writer's Corner

There is whole lists of different topics to look into. Such as: A To Z Dictionary Of Body Parts And Sexual Acts, Erotic Thesaurus/Name That Body Part, Please!, etc. There is a lot of unofficial guides, but they may prove helpful for those tight spots in your story!

There is several other types of posts in those forum boards. Some are rants and general questions, etc. However, there is nuggets of good stuff in there. So, the next time you need some inspiration... check this place out. Who knows.. it may help you out!

Interesting looking stuff!

Never really listened to this guy before, but I really like the cover of the CD. How about someone look up some songs and let me know if he is any good?

A couple of Kindles and a book. One Kindle has more than the other one. That is the reason for the difference in the price!

Mixed nuts and chocolate? ZOMG! That looks tastey! Not to mention there is a $10 gift card you can buy on Amazon. How cool is that? Would make a great Birthday or Valentine gift!

I learned something valuable today!

Today I was writing to chapter 13 and I was going at it pretty good. Then I checked my blogger. A blog by Poppet really caught my eye. Even though it was on rejection, I did learn something from it! Clumpy sentences! What is a clumpy sentence? Well, here is Poppet's example:

John saw that he had to go to the bar and get himself and Lucy a drink, but he knew that that was an impossible task through the crowd all around them.

That my friends is considered a clumpy sentence and what I got from the blog, it is a big no-no! Okay, lesson learned. However, what does a good sentence look like? Well, once again here is an example from Poppet:

John saw the bar through throngs of people and postponed getting a drink for Lucy and himself.

Now that is a sentence! So, I went through what I had written today and saw several clumpy sentences. I just looked on in horror for a moment and then tightened my writer's belt! I am going to fix this! I saw what could possibly get me rejected and I knew I needed fix it pronto! So, with water in hand and pretzels in the other, I scanned the latest chapter.

I sighed often at how many times I used clumpy sentences. I hung my head in shame and then began the process of fixing this err of mine! I wasn't going to let this get me down nor was I going to let this beat me! I am determined to write this story and get published.

Any way, the moral of the story is. Do research into HEALTHY and GOOD writing skills. Then use those learned skills to polish your work BEFORE seeking out an agent and/or editor/publisher!

Thanks Poppet! I learned something new today and I am going to use it to my advantage!

Okay guys, I need some title ideas!

Like fo' sho'! My book in progress has a title that no longer fits it. A Kiss That Bites. Every time I hear it or read it, I think vampire instead of werewolf. But, I don't want a cliche title like 'Full Moon Madness' or 'Moon Madness'. Sorry, but those are used so much that I gag. Don't even get me started about the ones that have 'wolf' in the title! Seriously! I want something dark, edgy, and just plain out eye catching. However, for the life of me I can't come up with anything better than what I got! *head desk*

I know that maybe an agent or even an editor will change the title. Obviously they know what sales and what does not, but is it so wrong that I want to maybe cut out some of the work they have to do? I don't mean that in a bad way, but... those people work so hard and have to go through so much B.S. that I want at least attempt to make their lives a little easier. *sighs*

Any way... if anyone out there has an idea... toss it my way.

I Can't Get Enough!

I love horses and I saw that they were making a movie about this horse... I about squeed myself to death! Seriously! I love those horse Athletes like War Emblem, Seabiscuit, etc.

Okay, the name just got me. I mean, I saw it and I was like, "huh?... oh.." I read a bit of the description and small excerpt from the story. It looks rather entertaining!

The cover art on this one caught my eye. The eye color and glowyness of it really got my attention. Not sure if it will be a good read, but hey... it looks fun.

I Hit My First 100 Followers!

Okay for some people this won't be a great and wonderful thing, but I hit 100 followers on Twitter! YES!! Oh yeah... oh yeah... Ahem. Any way, I just thought I would mention that. I think this is the first time I have ever gotten this many follows before. I don't even have this many friends on Facebook or MySpace! Seriously. This has me giddy.

In other news. I hit 4 followers for my WAA blog! My WAA blog is about my book in progress. Sometimes I do snippets, one liners, etc. Anything to get me in the mood to write and just show my over all love of my book. -_^ After all, I have some sexy men in dar!

Gotta Love Beta Readers (critique partners)

Well, today I got a more polished version of chapter 6 of my book. Now then, the chapter was over 2k in words. I can't stand short chapters. Just an OCD of mine. I got to reading it and the chapter was WAY shorter than what I had originally typed up. So, I stuck it in Word Processor and checked the word count. It was cut quite a bit. Practically 1000 words less than what it was originally. I was shocked and upset. The chapter is now pitifully short. ;-; Only a little over 800 in words. Which caused my OCD to spazz!

So, I added more stuff back in. Now it sits a little over 1k words. Which soothed my bruised OCD. I appreciate all her hard work in finding my errors, but cutting content just... irks me. I think I can understand some of it. Honestly, I can, but over 1k in words cut? *shudders* Most of it was stuff that eluded to other stuff in the story. So, I had to fix some of it. ;-;

I understand that when I find an agent and then if an Editor gets a hold of it... I could be dealing with the same thing. BUT, I just was extremely shocked at some of the cuts and words she put in. For example, she refers to Rupert as a child or kid sometimes. When he is a YOUNG MAN. Early twenties. Even though he is a Lycki and Immortal. It just sounds wrong when he shows his attraction to Agatha (a Jackal that was cursed to be an elderly woman = spoiler!) and vice versa!

All I want to do is face palm and just edit it. Some of the word edits are fine. Like describing certain characters better or movements, etc. I am appreciative of this, but I just get irked over the 'kid' word edits. ^^;

Any way... I need to write more to 13 and add it to the list to be looked at. *sighs*

Paranormal again? Yep, more Book Recos!

Okay, I will admit, I have a thing for cat shifters! Who doesn't? I think they are sexy as hell! So, naturally this book caught my eye and the cover is quite nice to boot! Check it out! Please?

I actually found more of this series and it makes me happy! This is a very good series and I would suggest it to anyone who loves the Paranormal genre!

Have you heard of G.A. Aiken? No? Then sister (and brothers. I know some of you men read these!) you have been missing out! This is the first book in this series and I must say, this entire series has kept me coming back for more! I love these books. She also has a new one coming out in September! I can hardly wait! So, I thought I would get you guys started on something I love. -_^

Today I decided to do nothing but Paranormal. From time to time I will recommend non Paranormal Romance novels. However, I will always recommend at least ONE Paranormal in the mix. After all, it is my favorite sub genre of the Romance genre! -_^

I am a little shocked...

I got on my twitter today and I found these great two @Mentions tweets:

Thanks #MM @AndroliteWrites @TrishMcCallan @SammyWrites @susanschreyer @readmistyevans @DragondreamzPub All great writers!

I am very pleased that someone found my blog creative. I try pretty hard to do something a tad different and offer up stuff that other might be interested in. Also, I am very... shocked to be called a "great writer". I must admit, I blushed a bit. I never been called a great writer other than by close family and friends. So, thanks for the compliments guys. I really do appreciate them. ^3^

More Book Recos!

This time a Historical Romance caught my attention! So far the reviews look good and the description is engaging. If the cover art doesn't grab your attention then maybe the fact that the book is offered for both Kindle and Paperback could.

It is a short story and sets up for the rest of the series. I have seen the author's name float around a lot lately.

A Paranormal Romance that caught my attention. I don't know much about the author, but the cover caught my eye.

Paranormal, etc. Book Recos!

Doing this a bit early today. Seeing as I am bound and determined to write around 40k words today! My book needs to get closer to that "finish" mark so I can edit, revise, etc. it. So, I hope you find these books interesting and I hope to see a review or two on them!

This lady is awesome guys! Honestly! I actually won a copy of Desert Heat and I plan on enjoying it immensely! I know this is not Paranormal in nature, but I just HAVE to mention her books! They look so steamy and sexy... pardon me while I drool! So, if you haven't checked out her books, do so! I don't think you will be disappointed!

This Book is only available on Kindle, but it seems like a good read! She has other books out there of this series. So check go check out this book!

I think this book is being offered both in paperback and Kindle. You may have to double check, but I last I looked it was for both. Also, this book really caught my eye. I happen to love blue and guess what? The cover has blue on it! So it automatically grabbed my attention. If it did not have blue on it, the sexy man on the front would have grabbed me any way! I also read the description of this book and it is a Vampire related Paranormal. It seemed unique and original. So, why not check it out?

A Big Huge Thank You!

Okay, I got to do a couple of shout outs!

First, to the author of Excelsior! I won a free copy of this book online and I am so far loving what I have read! I plan on reading the rest tomorrow. It is past 2am here and I seriously need to be getting in bed!

Also, a HUGE thank you to Jamie of Twitter! I won a printed copy of Desert Heat! I am so excited and I can't hardly wait to read it. Most definitely going to be checking my mailbox often. -_^

Thank you again to the both of you! You guys made my day. Honestly. It was kind of sour today, but this just really turned it around. As I like to say, You guys are made of awesome!

Interesting Looking Paranormal, Urban, etc. Books

My fiancee actually spotted this at the Walmart he works at! Which is 30+ minutes away from my house and the only Walmart that is closer didn't have it! I was kind of disappointed. The book sounds so good! I actually wanted to pick it up and read it. This will be one of those books, as soon as I see it, I am going to pick up ASAP and read! Maybe you should do the same?

This book is, so far, only for Kindle and it looks smexy! If I had a Kindle, most def. would get this one! I really love the description of the book and peeked my interest for sure! So, if you have a Kindle, consider this one!

One of my favorite authors of all time! Just about anything that Feehan puts out I read and I can't help it! She is a damn good author and I would recommend her books to anyone! So, consider this one or any of her other books by her!

My Mind is a Curious Thing

Okay, tonight I am going to try and get more interesting looking books up. However, first I want to blog about something personal. So here goes!

I find blogging to be a great release for stress and to help my mind get centered for writing. However, I have a lot of questions running around in the old brain and it really dampens my Muse. What questions are putting up that proverbial brick wall you ask? Well, here is a small list of Qs that seem to like to 'hit' me where it hurts most... my creative side of thinking.

1.] Is it okay to post a book in progress on a site that may or may not help you better yourself?
2.] Is it a good idea to get "Beta Readers" for a book in progress?
3.] Once you have gotten that book "polished", how does one go about writing a GREAT query letter to an agent?
4.] Once published, how do you meet the deadlines?
5.] How to over come procrastination when it has been a life long friend?
6.] Is it okay to tell an editor or cover artist that the cover for your book is not what you envisioned?
7.] Is it okay to be a little.. pushy towards agents/editors about getting your book published?
8.] How to avoid 'cliche' titles that just sound bad?
9.] How to write a believable and sensual sex scene?
10.] How to get your name out there when you are a first time writer/author?

Yes, this and more is buzzing in my brain. I have no answers for these. I have researched a lot on writing and tips, but I just can't seem to find that 'right' answer to give me inspiration to... well... write and over come the obstacles in my way. I admire writers greatly who have accomplished this and sometimes I wonder how you guys do it every day of your lives! Honestly, you guys are awesome!

Any way, if any poor soul (or souls) feel like taking pity on me and feel like answering some of these, please leave a comment!

My Random Book Picks

I do believe I have read this one before. It was such a sexy read! However, who couldn't love J.R. Ward's BDB series? Seriously! That woman has got talent! The book series is of course further along, but if you haven't gotten any of the earlier books, I would suggest at least getting this one!

I little on the pricey side for my tastes, but the book cover really caught my eye! I have a thing for black tigers and this was just drool worthy. Sadly, I haven't read this book, but it seemed interesting enough. Maybe it will be worth it? I will let you be the judge on this one.

This book comes in at #23 in Sales Rank on Amazon and must be pretty highly rated as well. That says something. Of course the price is a bit high, but at the same time the book look so good. It is begging you to pick it up and read it! So why not?

Paranormal Romance Books That Are/Looked Interesting

I have not read it yet, but it just looked interesting. It would probably be something I would read on a rainy day or when I didn't have a book by one of my favorite authors to read.

I have read this book and I really loved it. I don't know if she has put more out for the series or not, but I would definitely pick it up. It is a damn good read!

Another I haven't read yet, but I happen to have a thing for vampires. So, I will most likely be picking this one up soon!

Good Evening! (my to do list)

Well, I honestly didn't have much planned out for today, but... I just got the urge to write about something. So, here is some stuff that may or may not show up in my blog today:

Websites

Tumblr
Twitter
Blogger

Books

Uh, not really sure today. I may pick an author and see what is cooking in the new book department. Or I may pick a random one out my library and blurb about it.

Random Messages

We all get them and sometimes we just scratch our heads and ponder why? I may show a message or two from the places I visit. Sometimes I get interesting things and sometimes I get the most shocking (to me) messages.

I think that is it! So, sit tight while I spam my blog!

Ascension by Caris Roane

Ascension (Guardians of Ascension)

---

Okay, I just have to rave about this author and her book! I love the concept she does with mixing Angel and Vampire lore into one sexy read! The book is on sale now at Amazon and if you are looking for a good read... this would be the book I would pick. Kept me quite entertained and I really love the cover. So eye catching! So, pick it up today. I don't think you will regret it!

WritersCafe.org

This website is actually one of the better sites I have come across. I say that lightly only because half the drama that goes on over there misses me by miles! Which I am thankful for in so many ways. I honestly do really like this site and the features it offers.

A few good things to mention about it:

1.] The ability to post more than poetry and/or Books. It has different ways you can publish your creative works.
2.] The editor for your writing allows many different ways to display your text. More than just your basic commands of bold, italics, center, etc.
3.] The ability to host contests. Another good way of getting yourself known and to read some interesting stuff!
4.] The ability to create groups. This is a nifty one and there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many you can create. I have one on there, but it doesn't get much attention. Oh well.

A few bad things to mention about it:

1.] Lack of admins. The owners of this site seem to have WC in the dust. I don't think anything has been updated about that site in years.
2.] Lack of mods. There have been a lot of harassment cases and many other things the could be taken to court over, but the lack of mods allow users to... run wild. To put it lightly.

Over all... the site is a good one. If you don't mind working a bit to get noticed on there. I have been there for a few years now and I am barely beginning to get noticed. Oh well.

Wajas.com (.org and .net)

Disclaimer: These are just my views and opinions of said site. The following information should not be read and understood as a 'how to' or 'guide' for said site. Also, note the website is a game.

Wajas.com

Never heard of Wajas? Then let me introduce you into the world of "wolf" and "dog" like creatures that you can customize the appearance of and breed to your hearts content! The site started off a few years ago with a close and tight knit group of people. Everything was good. I should know, I was there when it first opened. However, a few years down the road, everything went sour. The admin started to care less and less about the users. She pretty much left the scene and now doesn't even do the art for the site. Of course everyone is entitled to a life, but the site is pretty much user ran.

What mods there is have a hard time keeping up with the rude and often times childish chits on that site. I lost faith in the site a long time ago. It didn't seem to be going towards a brighter future, but more towards a meltdown.

Overall opinion of the site...

Well, I think the graphics (images) could use work. There hasn't been a new layout available for you to choose in at least two years. Also, half of the items that are on there are usually drawn poorly, but still make into the site. The lack of the admin seems to be very apparent. I think over all... maybe a post a month. If that. Which, in my opinion, an admin needs to be there more than that to make sure the site isn't having issues or to make sure all the mods are accounted for, etc. I think that lack of leadership really shows in that website.

Also, there is a lot of rude people on that site. You could pass gas the wrong way and they throw a bitch fit! Honestly. It just one big drama orgy fuck and it honestly makes me sick.

What few nice people there is on that site, hides in fear of being ripped a new one by all the rabid, flesh eating, mongrels that is multiplying faster than cells replicate!

So word to the wise... if you play, make sure you don't make anything that would demand attention. Otherwise you may end up in a cluster fuck of idiots!

A More Proper Introduction

It would seem in the rush to start blogging on Blogger, that I forgot to properly introduce myself! I should feel ashamed!

First and foremost, welcome to my blog space! You will find some witty and sometimes sarcastic things in my blog. I do not exactly have a "theme" about what I blog, but I do however blog about whatever strikes my fancy. Whether it be in a good way or bad way.

Second, I would like to mention that I do consider myself an amateur writer. I know my work is far from being the polished and savvy works of other great writers, but I do strive to improve each day that I do write. My Muse demands this of me quite regularly and sometimes at ear splitting volumes!

Now on to the good parts!

I am 26 years old (fixing to be 27) and live in the Southern portion of the United States. Before anyone asks, yes - I do have indoor plumbing, yes - I wear shoes, no - I am not married to my cousin, and no - I do not sound illiterate when I speak. I have been writing on and off for several years. Mainly poetry, but within the last few years of my life, I have had an insatiable desire to write. It is my hope to one day be published and see my books lining the shelves of a bookstore! Of course I know it will be a long time from now, but at least I can dream big, right?

I also have one mutt of a dog, whom I love to pieces, named Billy. He is truly a mutt in every sense of the word. I couldn't even begin to tell you what he is mixed with.

During my spare time I like to visit random websites and give my views on them. Particularly online writing communities, games, blog sites, and any other site that happens to catch my eye. Of course, when I do blog about websites it is just my opinions and not facts. So don't take it personally if you see your site here one day.

Oh! I almost forgot. I have a deep love for Paranormal Romance Novels! I have read 100s of books by several different authors. I try to expand my collection whenever time allows it!

Well, I think that sums me up in a nutshell. Along with a few extra things included!

Interesting Looking Book

I have not read this book, but the over all title and look of the book fascinates me. I would almost say this book is about self awareness and a journey to become a better person. Or it could be about a character and his/her life's journey. Either way it sounds interesting and I would definitely look into reading it in the near future. I may even recommend this to several family members. As it would be right up their alley.

A Blurb About Mibba

Disclaimer: These are just my views and opinions on said websites. Please understand the material stated below should not be read and understood as a guide or any other type of 'how to' for the websites listed below.

Mibba.com

Mibba is an online writing community who caters to people from ages of 13+. Sometimes even younger if you can slip in unnoticed by the mod staff and admins. When you first join the site, you will see the forums are extremely active and have several topics that may or may not be of interest to you. You will also note the handy right column, on your homepage, of nifty features for better organizing your work(s). You almost have that heady feel of excitement as you peruse other parts of the site and take notice of all the activity. You almost feel like you can become a part of the site and post many great works here. However, the TOS and Site Rules makes you pause.

You read that if you speak negatively about Mibba on and/or off the site your account will be banned.

Which brings us to my opinion of said site.

I find the members of the site as follows: childish, cliquish, snobby, rude, bitchy, and even down right cold to new members of any sort. Also, the reading material they boast they read seems to be only limited to Bram Stoker and William Shakespeare. There is very few people on that site who seems to have read more than stated. Also, Fan Fiction of all kinds are to be found rabidly rampant on the site and Original ideas seem more like a dream than a reality. Everything and everyone there for must be of the same cut or else you are shunned greatly for your originality.

Also, the site says they police rude comments bashing the author of their works. I find this statement to be false. I actually had an experience where a user bashed and slandered my work. Trying to rip me a new one. (I laughed mightily at such a pitiful attempt on their part) I brought said comment to the mod's attention. They did nothing of the sort and said the "critique" was legit and there for stayed.

Of course I promptly closed up shop and left the site in whirling dust trails. I find the almost "child like" minds of the site staff and members sad and downright disheartening.

If I could give this site a rating, 1 being low and 10 being high, it would receive a 3 from me.

So to those interested in the site. I would warn you that if you are going to use it, use it only for posting of your stories or what have you and that would be it. Otherwise, you may find unintelligent chits knocking at your proverbial front door.
